WIESBADEN, July 1, 2022. Yesterday, the commissioning of truck detection for optimized parking space search by the federal Autobahn GmbH took place. Graphmasters’ Alexander Meister was there! The motto of Professor Gerd Riegelhut, Head of Traffic Management, Operations and Traffic at the Federal Autobahn GmbH: "We make room!" Problem: Truck traffic has increased consistently in recent years. Solution: In addition to the further expansion of truck parking spaces, Autobahn GmbH is now also pushing forward the development of intelligent parking systems. Autobahn GmbH has already launched a groundbreaking pilot project today that informs drivers about available truck parking space. This marks the first step towards more efficient use of the existing parking space.
